LEXINGTON - Funeral services celebrating the life of Maxine C. Turner, 78, of Lexington, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home Lexington Chapel with burial to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Scott West, Brian Wilson, Easton Hallman, Matthew Hallman, Jay Hallman and Nicholas Elliott. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 107 W. Mrs. Turner, widow of Bobby Turner, died Friday, May 23, 2014. Born in Rutherford County, NC she was the daughter of the late Violet and Fred Carpenter. She worked many years at Ben Satcher Ford. She enjoyed spending time with her family, fishing, bowling and going out with the ladies at Kitti Wake Baptist Church.

Mrs. Turner is survived by 4 daughters, Cindy Elliott (Tyrone), Debbie Doty (Les), Karen West (Greg), and Teresa Lindler; a son Mike Turner (Lisa); 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Bobby, she was predeceased by 1 sister.
