Mildred Poole

LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Mildred P. Poole, 84, of Lexington, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013 at Round Hill Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Lexington Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sean and Jeff Poole, Wes and John Gunter, Randy Childers and Harold Padgett. The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel.

Memorials may be made to the Round Hill Baptist Church, 230 Persimmon Lane, Lexington, SC 29072 and the Alzheimer’s Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd, Ste 100, West Columbia, SC 29169.

Mildred was born in Batesburg on April 14, 1929 to the late Ruffin Padgett and Cleola Gantt Padgett and passed away on Sunday December 22, 2013.

She is survived by her daughters, Debbie Gunter and Janet and Russell Spires ; daughter-in-law, Judy Lavoie; grandchildren, Todd and Kelly Poole, Jennifer and Tony Hendrix, Amy and Jason Hatfield, Kevin Poole, Laurie and Shawn Wilson, Melissa and Curtis Long, and Heather Spires; great-grand children, Brittany, Sean, Allison, Jeff, Gresham, Kyler, Reagan, Rowan and Shawn Michael; great great-grandchild, Avery; brothers, V.D. and Marjorie Padgett and Ruffin Padgett, Jr.; and sister Margaret Childers.

Mildred was predeceased by her husband, Poe Poole; son, Dwight Poole; son-in-law, Russell Gunter; sister, Jewell Knott and brother, Gantt Padgett. The family would like to give a special thanks to the Oak Haven of Lexington and Amedisys Hospice.
