Nancy C. Hunt

Nancy was born on February 22, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Walter and Aurelia (Dubinski) Kolby. She graduated from Notre Dame High School and attended Marycrest College. On June 26, 1965, she married James Gregory Hunt. They raised three sons, Jim, Tom, and Brian.

Nancy had a wonderful career of over 35 years as an Insurance Administrator. She enjoyed time with friends and family and was an avid Words with Friends player. Nancy’s door was always open, be it for family, or friends, or even friends of friends. She enjoyed playing cards, sometimes going deep into the night playing euchre with her boys. Her spirit will be missed by any that were fortunate enough to have been able to spend time with her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Walter; her mother, Aurelia; her brothers, Richard, Ken and James; her sister, Denise; her grandson, Colby and her loving husband, James.

She is survived by her sister, Marcia (Donald); sons, Jim, Tom (Stephanie), and Brian (Sherri), as well as her grandkids, Jennifer, Brandon, Owen, Darren, Gavin, Birdie, Walter, and Francis. Additionally, she is survived by countless nieces and nephews who refer to her lovingly as “Auntie Nancy”, and a host of friends that always helped her celebrate “the best part of her day”.

Memorial service is to be determined at this point due to scheduling considerations for the family.
