Peggy Strawbridge

LEXINGTON - Peggy Smoak Strawbridge, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at Lexington Baptist Church, 308 East Main Street, Lexington, SC. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, August 30, 2013, at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, 503 N Lake Dr., Lexington, SC. She will have a private burial in St. Matthews, SC.

Peggy was born in St. Matthews, SC to Cecil and Louise Betsill Smoak. Peggy enjoyed a life full of family, friends, and church. Those fortunate enough to be in her life shared in her warmth, compassion, and humor.

She is survived by her daughters, Angela (Melton) Bundrick, Kathy (James) Carter; son, Raymond (Dawn) Strawbridge; grandchildren, Jacob Carter, Lee Bundrick, Daniel Carter, Phillip Carter, Kaylin Strawbridge, Clayton Strawbridge, and Mason Strawbridge; sisters, Connie Kizer and Joyce Bair; and brother, Harley Smoak. Peggy was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, Ertelle Garris Smoak. As a mother, grandmother, and friend, she will be greatly missed.
