Niko, I am so speechless .. I will miss that wonderful smile you always had and all the laughter we shared... Thank you for being there for me...you have been a big inspiration in my life when I needed it most...you will always hold a special place in my heart. Huggs and kisses as always...Aand I also as well as Buck will do my best to continiue your legacy .... Rest in Peace my Sweety

Niko, I sit here reading your obituary this morning as I prepare to help inter your physical being today. I think of the good times and it brings a smile to my face. You effected so many in your time. You lived larger than life and on passing I know that you will still be encouraging us all to be the best that we can be. I am proud to call you my friend. Take care my brother and I will do my part in continuing your legacy. As I have said before, Semper Fi!!

I can still remember the first time I met Niko at a Special Olympic Steering Committee meeting.  He gave me a huge hand shake and then a hug. Told me welcome and if he could do anything to help me all I had to do was call.
He was much loved by the athletes and always had a smile and much love for them. 
Every time I hear thunder now I will know he and the Angels Bowling team are having a grand time.

Niko, your warmth and caring will be sorely missed......your soul was a light in our darkness....we are all better for having known you.......with love from the staff and residents of Christopher Towers.

From hearing Denver talk about your work with Special Olympics and other things, you must have been a very special and giving person.  Thanks for all you did for Denver.  RIP.  My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends.

It's going to be hard not hearing your voice, or your laughs, or spending time with you. But I know you are in Heaven always looking down at me and with me in spirit always. You are with your Mom, Dad and Joey now. I love you. Until we meet again when you come and get me when it's my time. It's not goodbye, it's until we meet again.

My life is more rich because of knowing you. You will be missed more than you would ever have imagined.  I am blessed that we met.

It will take us all a long time to stop looking for that big smile, curly black hair and big hug everywhere we were accustomed to seeing you, but we will forever have you in our hearts and minds and in your honor, will find ways to pay it forward.

We have been thankful for your great friendship. I know we will miss you but you will rejoyce in seeing Joey. We offer our condolences to James and your two sons.

I will always remember Niko as a friendly caring soul. I did not know him well, but the few times I met him he was always courteous and a gentleman, an example of proper conduct to his contemporaries. I know he helped many people out in his life. He will be missed.

You have left us a legacy of caring and sharing. The footprint you left will be difficult to fill but many of us have vowed to "pay it forward" and carry your gift of knowledge and support to those in need. Rest well, good knight.

Niko will be missed by so many...  His was a giving, generous and loving soul.  My condolences to his family and friends.
