

Renee Irene Olszewski, 42, of Lexington, South Carolina passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, February 14, 2025. Renee was born on December 22, 1982 in San Diego, California to Brenda Cass Olszewski and Paul Olszewski. She settled in Lexington, SC along the shores of Lake Murray where she loved being close to the water and where she spent the remainder of her adult life.
Renee was a talented cosmetologist, proud mother, and devoted friend to many. She loved her work styling hair and treasured her quite moments at home on the lake. Renee used her vibrant and lovable personality to make people feel as beautiful on the inside as her talents allowed her to make them on the outside. She loved her family, friends, and loved staying social all over town.
She is survived by her beloved son, Dane Olszewski; mother, Brenda Olszewski; sisters, Reanna Olszewski and Rachele Cash (Andrew Cash); nephew, Harrison Cash; grandmother, Marilynn Winkowski; and numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins across the US.
She was predeceased by her father, Paul Olszewski; brother, Neil Olszewski; grandparents, Casimer and Lena Olszewski; and grandfather, Richard Cass.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home- Lexington Chapel, 503 North Lake Drive, Lexington, SC 29072, followed by a reception on-site. Anyone who knew and loved Renee and her larger-than-life personality is encouraged to attend. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, any wishing to make a gift please consider doing so to the fund to support Renee’s son at Dane’s Support Fund.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the amazing nurses and doctors at Lexington Medical Center for providing Renee with attentive, caring, and dignified treatment and care during her illness. The family would also like to extend their thanks to the numerous family and dear friends who reached out to offer support and condolences during the very difficult preceding weeks. Your concern and support have meant more to us than we can ever express. Renee truly had special people who loved her very much.
