WEST COLUMBIA – A memorial service for Richard Herman Blackwell, 65, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2015 at New Hope Baptist Church of Pelion, 249 New Hope Church Road, Pelion, SC 29123
Mr. Blackwell was born March 23, 1950 in Williamsburg, SC and passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. He was the son of Fred Blackwell and Martha James Blackwell. He served our country in the Marine Corp and retired from LRADAC after 25 years.
He is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Marsha Blackwell; children, Tiffany Blackwell, Beth McClendon, Allison, Christian, Briana and Daniel Bruster; granddaughter, Sarah Woods and brother, Ron Blackwell (Sue).
Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
