Robert Alvin Rikard, 62, passed away early Monday morning with his children and sister by his side. Robert vigorously fought kidney cancer for seven years but never deterred his resolve to love his family and share his love of the outdoors with them. He was also known for selflessly serving the Lexington community running his father's business, Rikard's Automotive (Alvin Rikard), along side his mother Betty Rikard for 25 years. We all will miss Robert's ability to tell a good story, his unforgettable laugh, and his undeniable expertise on the lake. He lived more adventures than books can tell but was most proud of his three children and ten "grandbabies". We are all thankful that Papa is no longer suffering and can dance in Glory with his beautiful bride, Dale Rikard.
Robert is survived by his mother, Betty Rikard; children, Preston Rikard (Shannon), Kristin Bebee (William) and Parker Rikard (Natalie-Claire); grandchildren, Liam Bebee, Everett Bebee, Harper Rikard, Griffin Bebee, Lila Bebee, Eliza Kate Rikard, Rhett Rikard, Shepherd Rikard, Levi Rikard and grand baby coming November; sister, Lynette Brantley; nieces, Brittany Perry (Stephen) and Morgan Whitaker (Louie); as well as other numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Alvin Rikard; wife Dale Rikard; and brother in law John Brantley.
