

LEXINGTON - Ronald E. Alexander passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2015. Ron was a devoted husband, father, and devout Christian and was a very active member of Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church. He passed away suddenly while vacationing with his beloved wife in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Ron was a graduate of Furman University (B.A. – Summa Cum Laude - 1984) and the University Of South Carolina School Of Law (J.D - 1987). He was a member of the American Bar Association, Richland County Bar Association, American Board of Trial Advocates, and South Carolina Association of Justice. He was AV rated by Martindale Hubbell. Ron joined the Solomon Law Group in December of 2014. He tried more than 300 jury cases to a verdict. He represented clients in State Courts throughout South Carolina. His primary emphasis was the representation of individuals in the areas of appellate practice, personal injury, general civil litigation, and trial practice. In addition to his busy practice, Ron continued to be active in the community. He formerly served on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity and was very involved in his community working with mentally disabled adults, migrant workers, and mentoring children. He was also active in the leadership of his church, including being an elder, deacon, and teacher. He is the son of Bea Junior Alexander and the late Faye Elizabeth Alexander.
He is survived by his wife, Lee Ann Major Alexander of Lexington, SC, his daughter, Caroline Alexander of Brooklyn, NY, his son, Grant Alexander of Columbia, SC, his sister, Tammy Wilson of Salem, SC and mother-in-law, Carolyn Major. He was predeceased by his mother and his father-in-law, John Major.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday June 4, 2015 at Saxe Gotha Presbyterian Church with reception to follow. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 in Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, SC.
Memorials may be made to Neema Children’s Home in Kisumu, Kenya where Ron served on the board of directors. The Neema Children’s home is a non-profit that works to improve the lives of widows and orphans through clean water, food and education.
