Sally Gregory Steele

GREENWOOD – Sally G. Steele died Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at Hospice House of the Piedmont, Greenwood, SC. A resident of 149 Gregory Lane, Saluda, SC, she was born October 18, 1925, to the late James O. Gregory and Eva Attaway Gregory. She was a graduate of the Medical College of the State of SC and Roper Hospital, and her entire career was serving as a registered nurse at VA Hospitals in Delaware and South Carolina.

Surviving are her son, Gregory F. Steele, of Saluda and and his special friend, Tarina Booth, of Tolbert, GA; sister, Shirley (John) Witt, of Chappells; brothers, Leroy (Margaret) Gregory, of Goose Creek, Jack (Naomi) Gregory, of Modoc, Wiley Gregory and Jesse Gregory, of Saluda. Also surviving are nieces, nephew and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Karl F. Steele.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 with a memorial service at 2:15 p.m. at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Shiloh Road, Saluda, SC.
