LEXINGTON – Funeral services for Vera Cornelle Smith, 92, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Pisgah Lutheran Church with interment in Lexington Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Pisgah Lutheran Church, 1350 Pisgah Church Rd., Lexington, SC 29072.
Mrs. Smith was born March 10, 1925 in Lexington, SC and passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017. She was a daughter of the late Jacob Simmie Amick and Eulalie Ruth Haltiwanger Amick.
Vera is survived by her granddaughter, Karon Chisolm (Brittany) of Bluffton; grandsons, John Chisolm of Gaston, Joshua Chisolm of West Columbia; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Annie Ruth Addy of Lexington and brother, Otis Amick of Leesville. She was predeceased by her husband, John Edwin Smith; daughter, Rena Chisolm; brothers, Simmie and John C. Amick; sisters, Catherine Smith, Edna Shealy.
