Wayne William Kempf, a resident of Lexington, South Carolina, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on October 30, 1935, in Madison, Wisconsin, Wayne was the beloved son of Eunice Homberger and Walter Kempf.
A proud navy veteran, Wayne dedicated his professional life to engineering, retiring from a successful career with AT&T. His contributions to the field were marked by dedication and skill.
Wayne was deeply cherished by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Lisa Maylath (Craig) and Kim Stojkovich (Goran); his son, Kevin Kempf (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Madeleine, Sasha, Paige, Luka, Ryan, and Nathan. He is also survived by his brother, Lee Kempf. Wayne was predeceased by his wife, LaVerne Kempf, and his brothers, Neil and Terry Kempf.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Wayne had a passion for gardening and was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears. These interests brought him joy and relaxation throughout his life.
Wayne's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
