
LEXINGTON – A visitation for William Stanley Parker, 72, will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel and a drop in at the home of Mary Beth Harmon, 145 Timber Chase Lane, Lexington, SC will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Autism Society of SC, 806 12th Street, West Columbia, SC 29169 or Special Olympics SC, 109 Oak Park Drive, Irmo, SC 29063.
Mr. Parker was born December 29, 1943 in Columbia, SC and passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. He was a son of the late Ed Parker and Virginia Hennessee Parker of Chester.
Mr. Parker is survived by his wife, Lona Benge Parker; children, Ashley Harmon, Mary Beth Harmon (Greg Morgan) William, James Parker, Tammy Parker Whittaker, Jason Parker; grandchildren, Stephanie, Stephen, William Brown, Conner Parker, Madelynn Parker, Madilynne Justice, Skylar and Kirsten Harmon; brothers, Edward Parker of Chester, SC, Connie Parker (Penny) of Orange Park, FL; sister, Rita Parker Melton (Jerry) of Roanoke, VA, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, James Richard Parker of Chester, SC, Frances Parker Jackson of Winnsboro, SC and Virginia Parker Neely Blackmon of Sumter, SC.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rudolph Wise of SCOA, the nurses, medical staff, 11th floor Palmetto Health Richland nurses and staff, and 3rd and 4th floors of Columbia Heart. A special thanks to sister-in-law, Carroll Gilbon.
