Beverly Jean Arnold, 69, of Independence, MO, passed away September 23, 2022 at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City. Beverly was born January 3, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri to Glen K. and Barbara Jean (Hall) Arnold. A visitation will be held Wednesday, September 28, 2022 from 10-11:00 a.m. at Newcomer’s Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 East Franklin Street, Liberty, MO 64068 with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow at New Hope Cemetery in Liberty, MO. Beverly received her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Kansas Medical Center in 1989, her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Jewel College in 1975, and graduated from Raytown High School in 1971. She was an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse and Clinical Nurse Specialist serving as a pediatric charge nurse, staff nurse, acting head nurse, employment representative, nurse recruiter, nursing supervisor, emergency room staff nurse, and clinical specialist in child protection in several healthcare facilities including Children’s Mercy Hospital, St. Joseph Health Center, University of Kansas Medical Center, Independence Regional Health Center, and private practice pediatricians. Beverly was an advocate for victims of abuse and often spoke to groups on domestic violence and child abuse. Beverly was named Volunteer of the Year for Hope House, Inc. in 1991. She was part of a Child Protection Team at Children’s Mercy Hospital, responsible for forensic interviewing and examination of children with suspicion of abuse. Beverly served on the Board of Directors for Hope House, Inc., and the Board of Directors for the Domestic Violence Network Kansas City. She was also a member of the Jackson County Child Sexual Abuse Task Force, American Nurses Association, Missouri Nurses Association, American Professional Society for Abused Children, Nursing Network Violence Against Women, Missouri Safe Network, International Association Forensic Nursing, and Sigma Theta Tau. Beverly was preceded in death by her mother Jean in 2002 and her father Glen in 2012. She is survived by her husband/companion John Biagioli of nearly 50 years; her sister Kay Green (Tom); three brother-in-laws Robert Biagioli, Paul Biagioli (Laura), Michael Biagioli (Kathryn); and 13 nieces and nephews, Tracey Arnold, Julia Bennett, Mary Bennett, Andrea Biagioli, Anthony Biagioli, Christina Biagioli Chapman, Melissa Biagioli, Nicholas Biagioli, John Green, Vanessa Jones, Matt Wolfgang, Travis Wolfgang, and Nicole Zabriskie; as well as other relatives and friends.
