

Dennis Lee Grizzle, age 78, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Dennis and his beloved wife, Linda, will have a graveside service on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery, 5001 NE Cookingham Drive, Kansas City, MO 64156.
Dennis was born on June 13, 1946 in Granby, Colorado to Alvin and Maxine (Peters) Grizzle. He lived in Brush, CO as a young child before moving to Denver, CO, where he grew up. He attended Abraham Lincoln High School, where he met his future wife of 57 years, Linda Ann. He graduated in 1964, and in 1966, he joined the Air Force National Guard. He served for 6 years and was blessed to never be deployed overseas to Vietnam.
Dennis also attended airline school to begin his career with Frontier Airlines, where he worked for 20 years until they went out of business. Following their closure in 1986, he began a second career as an over-the-road truck driver until his retirement in 2015.
He enjoyed working in his yard and golfing--you could find him on any given Sunday watching the PGA. He also liked spending time with his family, especially his many grandchildren.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Maxine; and his beloved wife, Linda.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Lana Mazon of Kansas; his brother, Gordon (Diane) Grizzle of Strasburg, CO; his son, Jason Grizzle of Lawson, MO; his daughter, Valerie (David) Chase of Warrensburg, MO; his grandchildren, Allyssa, Vincent, Kevin, Alex, Cameron, Isabella, Georgia, and Eli; and his great-grandchildren, Quentin, Nora, Jonathan, Laevin, Levi, Colt, and Chase.
