DONNA LEE AGEE passed away peacefully on January 11, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was 88 years old. Born in Plattsburg, Missouri, Donna attended William Jewell College where she met her future husband, Jim. They married in 1947 and have called Liberty home since. They had three children, Ann Jett (Jetty) Fredericks, Janet Philhower, and Jeff Agee. While rearing her children, Donna volunteered for many community organizations, but it was when she opened her own flower shop, d’Agee Flowers, that she literally bloomed! She quickly learned how to run a successful business that continues to flourish 50 years later. Donna served as the first female president of the Liberty Chamber of Commerce. She was an active member of Soroptomist Club, Tuesday Study Club, Liberty Garden Club, and volunteered at Liberty Hospital. Upon retirement, she remained active in many of these organizations, played in various bridge clubs, and enjoyed sharing ideas in book club. She also loved to travel with family and friends. She is survived by her children, sister, Jean Gassman of Plattsburg, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial contributions to the Liberty Hospital Hospice.
