Gladys Marie Ashlock Gladys Marie Ashlock, 77 of Excelsior Springs, MO passed away August 10, 2014. Visitation will be 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 13 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home with a brief service at 7:30 p.m. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 14 at Stanfield Cemetery, Gideon, MO. Gladys was born January 26, 1937 in Sugartown, Arkansas. She attended Salem Christian Union Church. Before moving to Excelsior Springs in 1998, Gladys lived in Gideon, MO. Gladys was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Wesley Ashlock; her parents, Joseph and Luvicie Shinault; two brothers, James Shinault and Dee Lloyd Stipes; granddaughter Alina and great granddaughter, Brittney. Survivors include five children, Phyllis Barham, Susan Middleton, Paulette Townsend, Dick Ashlock and Tim Ashlock; sisters, Rachel Maynard, Bertha Truelove, Judy Kennedy and Dola Murphy; brother, Pal Shinault; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and two more on the way.
