James Edwin Walker

James Edwin Walker, 79, Liberty, Missouri formerly of Steele, Missouri passed away June 13, 2016. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:30 P.M., Tuesday, June 14 at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, Liberty, MO. Visitation will also be 6:00 – 7:30 P.M., Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints in Blytheville, Arkansas. Burial will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, June 17 at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Steele, Missouri. James was born October 12, 1936 in Memphis, Tennessee to James Alvie and Nettie Mae (Warren) Walker. James farmed before retiring and moving to the Liberty area. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints. James was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Britton and Lorine Adkins and a brother Warren Dewayne Walker. Survivors include his loving wife, Patsy Gail Walker; daughters, Gwen Handley, Hayti, MO and Carla Dugger and husband Keith of Merritt Island, FL and son Dr. Kendall Walker and wife Michelle, Liberty, MO; sister Doris Norrid and ten grandchildren, Jared Handley, Valerie McDonald, Nichole Driggers, Lance Dugger, Nathan Dugger, Alexander Dugger, Ashlyn Walker, Preston Walker, Garrett Walker and Lydia Walker and nine great grandchildren.
