Kathleen "Katie" Kay Ralls

Katie, 61, passed away August 14, 2018 at her home in Gallatin, Missouri. She was born on March 12, 1957 in Independence, Missouri to Zack and Bobbie (Cook) Colt. She grew up in Liberty, Missouri and attended Liberty High School. She married Michael Lane in 1974 and had two sons, Zach and Will Lane. In 1996, Katie graduated from North Central Missouri College with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. In 2009, she married the love of her life, Jody Ralls. Katie loved the outdoors, with her greatest joy being gardening.

Katie was preceded in death by her brother, Joe Zack Colt; maternal grandparents as well as paternal grandparents. She is survived by her husband, Jody Ralls of the home; sons, Will Lane of the home and Zach Lane of Liberty, Missouri; step-sons, Jason (Misty) Ralls of Independence, Missouri and Joey Ralls; mother, Bobbie Colt of Liberty, Missouri; father, Zack (Ruth) Colt of Shell Knob, Missouri; sister, Carolyn (Eric) Alexander of Platte City, Missouri; step-sister, Julie (Colin) Stevic of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; step-brother, Steve (Lisa) Nelson of Liberty, Missouri; mother-in-law, Betty Ralls of Trenton, Missouri; grandchildren, Nicholas Lane of Liberty, Missouri, Tyler Lane of Overland Park, Kansas, Ami Lane of Basehor, Kansas, Shelby and Bella Ralls of Independence, Missouri and one nephew, Jared Wilson of Western Nebraska.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 12:30-2:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home, 119 E. Franklin Street, Liberty, Missouri 64068. Interment will follow services at Fairview Cemetery, Liberty, Missouri.
