William "Bill" Gervais, 66, of Liberty, MO, passed away December 29, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm, January 21st with a visitation from 11:00am - 1:00pm all at Chandler Baptist Church, 11401 MO-33, Liberty, MO 64068. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to NorthCare Hospice House, 2800 Clay Edwards Dr, 2nd Floor, North Kansas City, MO 64116 or the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
Bill was born April 10, 1956 in Kansas City, MO to Harold and Joann Gervais and grew up on the farm where he lived his whole life. He graduated from Liberty High School in 1974. Bill worked for Armco Steel and retired from the United States Postal Service as a truck driver. In his first marriage, he had three children, George, Fred, and Ina. Bill married his beloved wife, Brenda, in 2017. He was passionate about helping his neighbors, friends and family. Anyone who needed a hand could count on Bill. He was very mechanically inclined and could work on any type of vehicle or farm equipment. Bill enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, camping, and gardening. Bill was a mentor and teacher, helping guide his friends and neighbors to learn new skills.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold E. Gervais, Sr. and his wife Ina, and Nilene and Earnest Flanery; his father, Harold "Bud" E. Gervais, Jr. and his wife, Patricia; and his mother, Joann Miller.
Bill is survived by his wife, Brenda Gervais; his children, George, Fred, and Ina; his step-children, Amanda, and Lindsey; his grandchildren, Stella, Marvin, Monty, Jayce, Gavin, Dylan, and Selene; his siblings, Steve, Victor, Linda, and Mike; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
