

William “Walter” Williams Jr., 64 went to be with his lord and savior on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. Visitation will be from ¬¬ 6:00-8:00p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Church-Archer-Pasley Funeral Home in Liberty, Missouri. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00p.m., on Wednesday March 18, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church in Liberty, Missouri. Walt was born in Kansas City, Missouri on May 29, 1950 to William Walter Williams Sr. and Zelma (Mabery) Williams. Walt grew up in Liberty, Missouri and graduated from Liberty High School in 1968. He received his BSBA from Park University. Walt was a dedicated Ford Motor Company employee for over 30 years. He retired as Truck Chassis Superintendent in 2003. He returned the next day as a Service Rep for multiple Ford Parts Venders. He was a master of negotiation and problem solving. Walt was an active member in his church and a selfless volunteer for the community. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Liberty serving as a Deacon and a member of the Board of Trustees along with several other roles. Walt served the community as an active member of The Fellowship of the Concerned. On January 17, 2011 he was awarded the Liberty, Missouri, Martin Luther King Public Service Award. Walt married Susan McCann on July 28, 1972 at the Green Chapel in Columbia, Missouri. They had four children, Heather, Heidi, Brandon and Bryan. Walt’s favorite activity was watching his boys play soccer. He also loved watching his daughters dance and bragging about all of his children’s accomplishments. He was everyone’s knight in shining armor coming to the rescue of everyone who called upon him. The newest thrill of his life was his first grandson, Braylon. Walt was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, children, grandson, daughter-in-law, Nicki, brother, Thomas Redmond, and sisters, Mary Redmond and Patricia Lewis (Jerome), as well as many cousins, nephews and nieces, and his aunt, Mary Harris.
