Alice Marie Poe Vickrey

Alice worked as a sales clerk in retail stores for many years and was better known as “little Alice” and for her great smile.

A graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Staley, NC with Pastor Jason Dickerson officiating.

Alice is the daughter of the late John Clarence and Maude Martisha Langley Poe and was also preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jimmy Harrell Vickrey; sisters, Ruth Covington, Louise Poe and Virginia James.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy Vickrey and wife Helen, Randy Vickrey; grandson, J. J. Vickrey and wife Amanda; great granddaughter, Addisyn Vickrey; great grandsons, Landon Vickrey and Cole Vickrey; brother Bill Poe and wife Mary Ruth Poe along with many nieces and nephews.
