Daphne Ferguson Snider

Daphne was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. She was a long-standing member of the First United Methodist Church, Liberty. Both the choir and music there were very dear to her. She also loved to bless others with her cooking and sewing.

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Liberty. A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church, Liberty, NC; burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro.

She was the daughter of the late Allen Lester and Annie Lois Routh Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by daughter, Sylvia York; grandson, Adam York; and siblings: Evelyn Williams, Tommy Ferguson, Billy Ferguson, Hobart Ferguson, and Ray Ferguson.

Daphne is survived by her husband of 71 years, Solomon Gray Snider; son, Michael Allen Snider (Yvette); son-in-law, Thomas York, grandchildren, Elisabeth York Bernhardt (Richard); Matthew York (Jessica); great-grandchildren: Laurel, Grayson, Whitley, Silas; siblings: Mary Parks, Ann Ferguson, Alfred Ferguson (Eunice), Joe Ferguson, Garland Ferguson (Jeannie), Richard Ferguson; sister-in-law, Isabelle Ferguson and numerous nieces and nephews. Her family was one of her greatest joys.
