A private burial with military honors will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, North Carolina.
Dave was the son of the Allan Cott and Geraldine Edgerley Cott.
He leaves behind his wife, Denise Merrell Cott; son, Steven Cott; daughter, Carrie Cott Edwards; brothers, Allen Cott and Terry Cott; sisters, Brenda Cott Jones and Sheila Cott Maurice; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
