He was the son of the late Willie and Mallie Harris Morris and was also preceded in death by his wife, Faye Weeks Morris; and brothers, William Morris, Robert Morris, Jerry "Pete" Morris, Douglas Morris and Larry "Chicken" Morris.
David is survived by his daughter, Lynnette Mann and her husband, Tim, and various nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 4820 State Rd. 2417, Liberty, NC 27298.
