Elvira Pollard Humble

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Smithwood Christian Church officiated by Pastor Gordon Fulton, Pastor Jeff Dodson and Rev. Howard Spray; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, August 23 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home in Liberty.

Elvira was the daughter of the late Rev. M.A. and Lillian Moore Pollard and was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard Humble; one son, Garland Humble; one sister, Earlene Pollard and two brothers, Lankford and Ocie Pollard.

Surviving are her daughters, Rachel Entrekin (Larry) of Julian, Martha Hemby (John) of Indian Trail and Carolyn Smith (Skippy) of Liberty; sons, Wayne Humble (Dorothy), Hoyt Humble (Linda) and Everett Humble (Debbie) all of Liberty; eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren and numerous step grandchildren and step-great-granchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Smithwood Christian Church, Cemetery Fund, 6632 Alamance County Line Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
