Frances Workman Kime

Frances was born on April 11, 1934, to Lacy and May Sheperd Workman. She attended Liberty High School and graduated with the class of 1952. It was there that she met her future husband, Rhonlee Kime, and they were married 73 years. Together they had 2 children, Cathy and Randy. After 35 years of service, Frances retired from AT&T / Western Electric in the accounting department. After retirement, she enjoyed making dolls, gardening, and quilting. Through the years, she gifted many of her handmade quilts to family members and friends, leaving behind beautiful memories that will be cherished forever. Frances will also be remembered for her love of family and her many acts of caring toward them. She especially found great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, treasuring each one of them and serving as a positive role model in their lives.

A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., with visitation from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at Smithwood Christian Church, 6808 Kimesville Road, Liberty. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Christian Church Cemetery.

Frances was the daughter of the late Lacy and May Sheperd Workman. She was also preceded in death by her stepmother, Mary Workman; sister, Jean Dickens; brother, Ervin “Buddy” Workman; and great-grandchild, Brady Niles.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, husband of 73 years, Rhonlee Kime; son, Randy Lee Kime, and his wife, Carol; daughter, Cathy Kime Rumley; grandchildren, Caroline Niles, Devin Moorefield, Chad Kime, Natalie Rice, Lydia Kime and Nathan Kime; and great-grandchildren, Charlotte Moorefield, Logan Niles, Evelyn Rice and Daisy Kime. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
