James Ray Ward

He was a simple, hardworking, family loving man.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 4 at 11:00 am at Centre Friends Meeting, 325 NC 62, Greensboro, NC, officiated by Rusty Parsons and Terry Venable; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Wesley Ward and Addie Rebecca Poe Ward.

Surviving is his wife of 51 years, Virginia Hatchel Ward; sons, Barry Ward and wife, Jackie and Larry Ward and wife, Amy; daughter, Lisa Ward Langley and husband, Timmy; grandchildren, Brandon Ward and wife, Kimberly, Kristie Langley and fiancé, Adam Edmisten, Brian Ward, Anna Langley, Addie Ward and Roby Ward; brother, Jimmie Ward and wife, Sandy; mother-in-law, Ruth Hatchel Perry, and his beloved dog, Precious.

The family would like to express their most sincere gratitude to Universal Healthcare of Ramseur and caregivers, Linda Chriscoe, Rachel McMasters, and Valerie Lakhani.
