Kathy Ann Phillips Draughn

A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 15 at 2:00 pm at High Falls United Methodist Church, 324 Frieson Road, Robbins, North Carolina 27325.

Ms. Draughn was born January 6, 1950 in Carthage, NC to the late Joseph Clayton Phillips and Mittie Lee Phillips.

She is survived by her life-long friend, Teresa Simpson, who helped her more than the family will ever truly know; daughter, Karen Metreyeon and her husband, Dusty of Monroe; son, Bryan Smith of Winston-Salem; grandchildren, Dustin Metreyeon of Monroe, Storm Metreyeon of Charlotte, Cherri Smith of Winston-Salem and her first great-grandson due in December; brothers, Joey Phillips and his wife, Teresa of Carthage, Don Phillips and his wife, Jean of Albemarle; pets, Maddie, Cody, Mandy and Gidget.

Kathy’s family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the caring families whom they have developed relationships with at the SECU Family House in Chapel Hill and would like to request in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to the SECU Family House, 123 Old Mason Farm Road,

Chapel Hill, NC 27517.
