A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Smithwood Christian Church with Rev. Gordon Fulton officiating; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home of Liberty.
Nellie was the daughter of the late Isaac Oliver and Lovella Kime Layton and was also preceded in death by her husband, Delacy “Lacy” Lee Bailey; son, Harold Lee Bailey; sisters, Irene Kivett and Inez Fogleman and brothers, Willie Layton, Albert Layton and Frank Layton.
Surviving is her daughter, Cathy Shiflett (Kenneth); sons, Cecil Bailey, Mike Bailey (Hope), Doug Bailey, Jesse Bailey (Michelle), Wayne Bailey, and Lynn Bailey (Dixie); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
