A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21 at Smithwood United Church of Christ; burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Loflin Funeral Home and other times at Mrs. Smith’s home..
Nellie was the daughter of the late Vernon and Mary Horney Coble and was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Cash Smith and four brothers, Clark, Bill, Bob and Arthur Coble.
Nellie is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Lednum and husband, Joe; two sons, Richard “Bud” Smith and wife, Pam and Tom Smith and wife, Brenda; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
