

Nina was born on May 14, 1930 in Liberty, North Carolina to James Cleve Kivett and Naomi Bare Kivett. She was a graduate of Liberty High School and King’s Business College in Greensboro. She worked at Liberty Hosiery Mill in Liberty and Gibsonville, and at Fidelity Bank in Liberty.
Nina was a lifetime member of First United Church of Christ in Liberty, where she served as organist for over 50 years. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a Life Member of the Garden Club of North Carolina - as bestowed upon her by the Rose Garden Club of Liberty. She also served as a Girl Scout Leader in Liberty.
Nina is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Earl Rush Stout, Jr., and grandson, William Jacob Pence, III. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Earlene Stout (Dee) and granddaughter, Nina Rebecca Pence, both of Liberty.
Pastor Lorrel Strom-Jensen will conduct Nina's funeral service at First United Church of Christ in Liberty on Wednesday, September 30th at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, also in Liberty.
