When my husband, Kevin and I moved into the community, Miss Pearl would take daily walks past our home on Amick Road. One day she made a hard right and came to our doorstep. Introducing herself, she invited us to the community Weiner Roast. She told us to come on by, drawing us in like we were part of her family. We attended just about every year after that.  We loved her! She was so full of energy and spunk! A true pillar in the community. She will be missed. 

So much has already been said about Mrs. Pearl and her plants.  There are several she gave me from her yard that will live on at the house on Monnett Rd. For years to come. She was the first to welcome me to the community with a warm smile and hug. She not only read her Bible, did her church duties, but lived by her Bible! She is a hard act to follow. But she taught me well.

Sorry for your loss. Pearl was such a sweet and kind lady. Always had to get some of her flowers as they were the best. Prayers for the family.

Grace and peace to your family.  I will always remember Ms. Pearl for her sparkling eyes, quick steps, quick wit and quick "straightening out" if you weren't doing what you ought.  The best memories I have are the times we helped George Lee in tobacco.   Ms. Pearl (a.k.a. Mama Pearl) always prepared a fittin' dinner for all the hands who helped.  There was a time for work, a time for play and a time for prayer around the table.  All are special memories.  May you be comforted by the peace of knowing our separation is only temporary.


I first met mrs pearl coble many years ago when I shopped with Sheila Williamson at her craft shop on Coble’s Church Rd. She always had such nice geraniums. I loved visiting with her when I shopped for her plants. She was such a sweet lady. I also have some plants that she gave me starts of from her yard. I know she will be missed by her family and many friends. My condolences to everyone.

To the entire Coble family so sorry for your loss. Ms. Pearl was the sweetest person on earth. I know you will miss her greatly. We have all been blessed to have her grace out lives at some point and time. May God's peace be with you all. I hope now she will enjoy the flowers in heaven and not  worry over planting them.  God's grace to all. 

I am so privilege to have know this special lady. Her flowers has graced my yard for many years. She was such a blessing to know. Hard work and faithful sheep of God. She will be missed but always remember

Aunt Pearl was an amazing woman in so many ways. She was most definitely the hardest working, most faithful woman I have ever known...whether she was putting in tobacco, working in the garden, making her famous chicken pies and coconut cakes, studying her weekly Sunday School lessons, reading her Bible, planting seeds in the greenhouses, playing with her grandkids, passing out hot chocolate on cold sledding nights, or making homemade kraut each August...the list could go on and on. She gave so much and greatly impacted my life, along with the lives of so many others...more than she ever knew. All loved being at her home...a loving, warm place, just like her sweet spirit. We will miss her dearly but know she is truly home.

Our family was very blessed to have known Miss Pearl.  We loved our visits with her!!  I always looked forward to my greenhouse trips and loved how sweet and funny she always was. Pearl did have a green thumb!! Could grow anything and knew so much about gardening!! Enjoyed talking with her about plants!!
