A graveside funeral service with military honors will be held on Friday, January 9, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Dr. Clyde M. Gilmore Memorial Park, 6500 Liberty Road, Julian, NC; officiated by Pastor Travis Brock.
Phillip was the son of the late Paul and Evelyn Hall Moffitt and was also preceded in death by his sister, Elaine West.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 56 years, Sue Robertson Moffitt; son, Phillip Michael Moffitt; and brother-in-law, Sydney West.
Phillip proudly served our country in the Navy for four years active duty and two years inactive. He also worked for A.C. Corporation for 35 years.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Vision of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, 4765 Sandy Creek Church Road, Liberty, NC 27298.
