Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 5 at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel of Liberty. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Greene was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from Handy Mart with over 20 years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Estelle Young Greene, her husband, Elbert “Shorty” Greene, and their son, Jamie Greene.
Mrs. Greene is survived by her daughters, Sharon Manning of Liberty, Kathy Allred and husband, Alvin of Asheboro, Sandra Kearns of Liberty, son, Joseph Greene of the home, 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, 1 brother and 1 sister.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
