David Michael Botello

Dave Botello was born on Oct 23, 1940, in Hyannis, MA to John and Isabel Botello. He was born alongside his twin sister Joan. Dave had an older brother Paul, and a younger sister, Patricia. Dave grew up in Cape Cod, MA, and had a love for anything fast and fun.

He joined the Air Force right after graduating high school. After the military Dave followed in his father’s footsteps of being a builder. He built beautiful Cape Cod-style homes from the ground up. An artist and perfectionist, his homes were stunning, with every artistic detail accounted for.

Dave married twice and divorced twice. He had one child, Amy Botello, who got her artistic abilities and love of the sea from her father. Dave loved the ocean and he loved fishing. He was happiest on his fishing boat, hunting for tuna and then having a couple “margs” (margaritas) after a successful trip. He was a talented storyteller and would have his family and friends in stitches with stories of his adventures.

A true optimist, Dave was always upbeat and chose to see life as something to be enjoyed to the fullest. His family - sisters Patti (deceased) and Joan, brother Paul (deceased), daughter Amy, nieces Susan, Terri, Sabra, and Allison and nephews Stephen, Chris, Mark (deceased), and Mike loved him very much. He will be deeply missed.
