He was 58 years old.
Don was born and grew up in Baltimore County, MD and moved to Florida in 2000 where he met and married the love of his life, Eleonora Nizametdinova.
Thus began a new chapter for him, the happiest years of his life.
He and Ella shared 17 wonderful years together.
Their cats (Osha, Ivan, Jesse) were his children and he loved them dearly.
He was an intelligent, creative, hard-working man with a great heart that was tender and loving, with room for all.
His kindness and love even extended beyond family and friends.
The suffering of people and animals around the world weighed on him.
He cared about and prayed for them.
Although not an outgoing person, once anyone met Donald, they were drawn in by his gentle spirit.
He was an avid Bible reader.
He enjoyed playing tennis, walking on the beach and going to music concerts.
He liked Thai food, steak, ceviche and Ella's cooking, as long as he added more spice.
He was passionate about all things chocolate!
He adored animals and children.
But he would say his greatest joy in life, his supreme achievement, was his marriage to Ella.
Donald is survived by his beloved wife Ella, step-daughter Elina (Arvidas), and sister Mary W. Hanson (Jim) of Summerville, SC.
He is predeceased by his other sister Dona E. Wallen (Malcolm) of Newnan, GA.
Love lives on and Donald will live on in our memories.
