Joseph Andre Cajuste

Joseph Andre Cajuste was born in Cabaret, Haiti to Renaud Cajuste and Hermance Paul on June 30, 1925.  He married his longtime friend and love Soirine Cajuste on June 18th,1980 at Mont Carmel Catholic Church in Haiti.  He completed his education at College Notre Dame Du Mont Carmel in Cabaret. Andre grew up in Haiti and later  migrated to Boston, Massachusetts. He worked at Brigham & Women’s Hospital as a maintenance worker for many years and later moved and settled in South Florida with his family.  

He was a faithful and devoted member of the Bethlehem French SDA Church and he loved to praise and serve the Lord. He was baptized on October 1, 2004 along with his wife, the late Soirine Cajuste. His favorite verse was Isaiah 41:10 "So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

Andre was a man with few words but with plenty of humor, always ready to provide his support however he could to put a smile onto another individual’s face. He was a father with strong values and he went above and beyond to make his friends and family feel welcomed.  He taught his children the importance of treating everyone with respect and dignity. Andre will be forever remembered by his children and extended family.

Joseph Andre Cajuste was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Soirine Cajuste and their daughter Nicole Leger. Joseph leaves behind his siblings, Vilfrad Cajuste, Madernie Brutus and Boudreau Cajuste.

Andre Cajuste is survived by his 8 children, Eline Cajuste, Flaurette Cajuste and her husband Stephen Jean-Baptiste, Molene Cajuste and her husband Duvalot Fils, Rico and his wife Barbara Cajuste, Renald and his wife Venante Joseph-Cajuste, Rony and his wife Kateline Cajuste, Rolin and his wife Adrea Cajuste, Denel and his wife Nancye Francois-Cajuste. Andre also leaves behind 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren in addition to many others whom he loved and touched deeply.

Visitation will be between 9:00 and 10:00 AM on Sunday October 18, 2020 at Temple Adventist de Deerfield, 1250 S.E 6th Ave, Deerfield Beach, FL 33441.Where funeral services will commence at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Innocent of Bethlehem French SDA Church officiating. Burial will follow at Deerfield Beach Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements are made by Horizon Funeral and Cremation Services.
