

Mildred M. Richardson, 90, of Pompano Beach passed away on September 26, 2019.Mildred (Millie) was born in Woonsocket, RI. When she moved to Florida she was a wonderful stay at home mother, raising her 2 children. She loved her family and friends. She was always ready for a party or a get to together to celebrate. She also enjoyed staying at home and playing cards with friends and family. Her and her husband, of 69 years, loved going to the casinos. They loved it so much they would fly a few times a year to Las Vegas and if that was too far they would drive to Biloxi, MS. When they weren't traveling or getting together with friends and family, Millie was cooking or baking. She would make the best holiday cookies. In her later years Millie spent many weekends with her granddaughter. They would go to the movies or shop till they dropped. She loved attending her granddaughters' dance recitals and performances. She never missed a show. In the recent years, Millie was able to meet and share a birthday with her great granddaughter, Layla.Millie is the beloved wife of the late Edward Richardson and is survived by her son Ronald (Donna) Richardson, her daughter Donna Richardson and her granddaughter Halley (Samuel) Arocho. She was blessed to meet her great granddaughter's Adriana and Layla Arocho. Also by her sister in laws Shirley Gravel, Alice Ciffizari and her many nieces and nephews.A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday October, 26, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m. at Horizon Funeral & Cremation Services, 4650 North Federal Highway, Lighthouse Point, Florida 33064 where all are welcome to join.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Mildred Richardson to The American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
