her passing. A loving mother, grandmother, cousin and friend, Rosemary was born in Brooklyn,
NY, on February 12,1943 and left this Earth peacefully on August 22, 2023 to be with God and
her eldest daughter in Heaven.
Rosemary is survived by her daughter Marlo and husband Curtis, and grandchildren Trey and Samantha. She is preceded in death by her husband Rick and her first-born daughter, Kyra.
Rosemary grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Her mother died when she was a young child, so she lived with her father, along with her extended Italian family of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins for many years. (If you’ve ever seen the movie “Moonstruck,” it is an
excellent portrayal of her early life.) After graduating from Bushwick High School, she went to work in Manhattan. She met her future husband and father of her two daughters on the Subway platform when she was a teenager. They raised their children in Woodhaven, NY, until they left the Northeast for the warmer weather and blue skies of Florida.
Wherever Rosemary went, she was a force of nature. Her vivacious personality and sense of humor made her the life of every party she attended. She loved to dance, go to the casino, and
play cards and bingo. She was heavily involved with St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Deerfield Beach, FL, and the Moose Lodge in Pompano.
Those who knew Rosemary were blessed to have her in their lives. With a wide smile and a heart of gold, she loved everyone dearly and was like a second mother to many of her daughters’ friends. She will be forever missed, but her lively spirit carries on in her family and friends, and in the countless lives she has touched over the last 80 years.
