Summerly McDevitt Paiva

Summerly was born in Huntingdon Valley, PA to Ron & Sue McDevitt on May 1st, 1982.  She went to school at Lower Moreland High School in Huntingdon Valley, PA.  She married Luis Felippe Paiva on May 8th, 2021, in Boca Raton. She graduated from Florida Atlantic University. She worked as a Credit Underwriter for Fiserv for 10 years. Summerly was a beautiful person inside and out, taken from all of us way too soon. Summerly had a love for all animals and would never even hurt a fly. Summerly had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone.  

Summerly is preceded in death by her Mother Sue McDevitt, Grandmother Betty Gunning, Grandfather Howard Gunning, Grandmother Helen McDevitt, Grandfather Samuel McDevitt, and Uncle Dennis McDevitt.  

Summerly is survived by her husband of 2 years Felippe Paiva, her son Sebastian Paiva, Her Father Ron McDevitt, Her Mother and Father in law Luiz and Sueli Paiva, Her Siblings and their families Melanie, Ernie, Nicholas and Marissa Ricciardi  Brandon, Iovanna, Isabella and Victoria McDevitt / Ashley, Stephen, Liam and Connor Weiss / Newell, Christina, Lucas and Anthony Paiva / Amanda and Luana Paiva. 

Funeral services will be held 11:30am Saturday June 10th, 2023 at Horizon Funeral& Cremation Services with the Reverend Scott Salisbury of Coastal Community Church, officiating. 

The family of Summerly wishes to extend our sincere thanks to all of the nurses and doctors in the ICU, liver Transplant team and Oncology at Jackson Memorial Hospital, in Miami Florida.
