Billy Ray Neal

Billy R. Neal, 81, of Cridersville, passed away Wednesday morning, January 14, 2015 at his residence. He was born on September 23, 1933 in London, Kentucky to Wallace R. & Cuey (Johnson) Neal and they preceded him in death. He married Irene Newport on March 27, 1951 in Lima and she survives him.

Mr. Neal is also survived by his children, Debra Sue (Ronny Lee) Jordan of Pineville, Kentucky, Billie Martine (William Robert) Woods of Lima and Tawnya Rae Neal (Alan DeOrio) of Cridersville. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Doug Jordan, Wendy Pankowski, Ryan Carter, Miranda Berry, Sara Weber, Brandi DeWitt, Cleo DeOrio and Claire DeOrio; fifteen great grandchildren, and two brothers, Wallace (Rowena) Neal Jr. of Alger, and Arnold (Emma) Neal of Lima. He is preceded in death by three brothers and their wives: Eddie L. (Rose) Neal, Leo P. (Opha) Neal, and Eugene (Nora) Neal.

Bill retired as a Crane operator at Teledyne Ohio Steel. He was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His most enjoyable times were spent with his wonderful family.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon on Friday, January 16, 2015 at the Lima Missionary Baptist Church 3085 Yoder Rd. Lima, Ohio with the Revs. Terry Brock and Denny Hunter, officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Thursday, January 15 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at SIFERD-ORIANS FUNERAL HOME and on Friday one hour prior to the service at the church.
