

Charles F. Tenney, 75 of Lima died 7:38 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 in the Emergency Room of St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on December 17, 1936 in Carmichaels, PA to Francis and Rose (Celli) Tenney and they preceded him in death. On May 14, 1960, he married Bernadette George and she survives him.
Mr. Tenney is also survived by his five sons, Charles Tenney, Jr and James Patrick “Pat” (Leslie) Tenney both of Sevierville, TN, Donald Tenney , John Michael Tenney and Scott (Janeen) Tenney all of Lima. Charles is also survived by twelve grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and his siblings, Allen Tenney of Linesville, PA and Francis Tenney, Jr. of 29 Palms, CA.
Charles had been employed as a Mechanic for the Ford Motor Company for 30 years retiring in 1990. He was a member of the FOE Aerie 370 Lima; he loved woodworking and working on cars. He especially loved his grandchildren telling everyone that they were ‘his life’. He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
There will be a memorial service on Friday, at 2:00 p.m., at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, with Fr. Mike Houston officiating.
