Daniel L. Crawford

Daniel L. Crawford, 80, of Lima died at 2:00 a.m., Friday, December 14, 2012, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born on August 10, 1932 in Lima to Ivan and Catherine (Mawhorr) Crawford, his mother survives in Lima. On Sept 5, 1952 he married Marilyn J. Lingenfelter and she passed away August 9, 1983. On April 15, 1986 he married Sherril McCarty and she passed away November 26, 2006. Along with his spouses, he is preceded in death by a son, Terry Crawford and a step son, Douglas Conrad.

Mr. Crawford is also survived by his children, Cindy (Rick) Wall of Lima; Bill (Rachel) Crawford of Bermerton, WA and Tim Crawford of Groton, CT, he is survived by ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving is a a step-daughter, Erin (John) Hardesty of Delphos and four stepsons, David (Diana) Conrad , Brian Conrad and Joseph (Dawn) Conrad all of Edgewater, Florida and Robert Conrad of Lima.

Mr. Crawford had been employed with Siferd-Hossellman and also worked at El-Par Motor Sales. He was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. He was an Air Force veteran serving in Korea; he was a life member of the VFW Post 1275 and of the American Legion Post 96. He was an avid Ohio State football fan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father David Ross as celebrant. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery where the VFW Post 1275 will conduct military graveside rites.

Family and friends may call Monday, 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
