Daniel R Stepek

Daniel R. Stepek, 71 of Lima passed away 5:55 p.m. Monday, July 30, 2012 surrounded by his family and friends at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born in Lima on January 30, 1941 to William R. and Opal M. (Stevick) Stepek and they preceded him in death. On January 3, 1964 he married Rosalee (Daniel) Stepek and she survives him.

Daniel was employed as a maintenance mechanic for Wilson Sporting Goods in Ada. He was a member of the Lima Missionary Baptist Church. He was a Navy veteran. He loved woodworking, gardening, drawing and was known for his wonderful oatmeal cookies and homemade bread.

Mr. Stepek is also survived by his four daughters, Rhonda (David) Money of Lima, Cathy (John) Patrick of Delphos, Amy (Eric) Jennings of Elida and Heather (Barry) Blake of Lima; his grandchildren, Robert Money, Samantha Money, Nathanael Patrick, Zachariah Money, Natalee Patrick, Belle Blake, Myles Jennings, Beau Blake, Hannah Blake and another Blake baby on the way. He is also survived by a brother, Larry Stepek of Lima and a sister, Vicki (Rollie) Snider of Lima.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Janet Marie Stepek and Nancy Lynch.

Funeral services will be conducted 12 Noon, Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Lima Missionary Baptist Church with Revs. Terry Brock and Denny Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Family and friends may call Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
