Eileen A Spencer Ryan

.Eileen A. Ryan, 93, of Lima, died at 3:15 a.m., Sunday, April 3, 2011, at Elmcroft of Lima. She was born Mar. 7, 1918, in Lima to Boyd M. and Esther Ramer Spencer, who preceded her in death. On Oct. 18, 1941, she married John Ryan, Jr., who died on June 10, 1990.

Mrs. Ryan was a wife, mother, and homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and the American Legion Post 96 Auxiliary, where she was past president.

Surviving are five children: Carolyn Frank of Lima, Pat (Judy) Ryan of Harrod, Colleen (William Yue) Ryan of Arlington, VA, Kevin (Doreen) Ryan of Catawba Island, and Maureen (Tom) Kottenbrock of Lima; eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by a son, Timothy J. Ryan, a grandson, Patrick Kottenbrock, and two sisters, Jean Stephens and Maxine Jolliff

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday April 7, 2011 in St. John Catholic Church, Lima, with Fr. David Ross Officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday April 6, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Siferd-Orians Funeral Home where a Parish Wake Service will be held at 7:30 PM
