

Ina M. Long, 91, of Bellefontaine, Ohio, formerly of Lima, Ohio and Sarasota, Florida, died Saturday morning, July 21, 2012, at her daughter’s residence in Bellefontaine, Ohio. She was born Mar. 3, 1921, in Green County, Indiana, to Will and Emma (Dickey) Achors who preceded her in death. She married Clifford J. Long and he preceded her in death on May 13, 2004.
Mrs. Long had been a receptionist for the Physical Therapy department at St. Rita’s Hospital, Lima, Ohio. She attended Calvary Baptist Church, Bellefontaine. She was passionate about playing golf and made a hole-in-one on the day of her great-grandson’s birth, Dec. 20, 1994. When living in Lima, she and her husband were in a bowling league at Westgate Lanes. She was a loving mother and provided well for her children and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well. She made the best Old Fashioned Cream Pie. She was always a stylish dresser and a wonderful seamstress.
Surviving are three children: Teresa (Robert) Hadley of Vonore, Tennessee, Gordon (Lori) Hart of North Augusta, South Carolina and Debra (Carl) Good of Bellefontaine; a brother, William Achors of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren: Robert (Ann) Hadley, Dana (Joe) Roman, Colleen Hart, Linda Burkhart, Nathan (Nina) Good and Carla Good and twelve great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister and four brothers.
Per her wishes, she will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
