Janet L. Diller Moneer

Janet L. Moneer, age 72, of Lima, died at 5:27 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010, at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born Jan. 12, 1938, in Delphos, to Chester and Ruby (Bartram) Diller who preceded her in death. On Oct. 3, 1959, she married Jack L. Moneer, Sr. who died on Oct. 26, 2007.

Mrs. Moneer had been a homemaker and worked for the Elida Schools for 17 years and for Elida High School for 8 years. She was a family person, who loved her children and watching her grandchildren.

Surviving are six children: Jack (Regina) Moneer, Jr. of Lima, Jeffrey (Cindy) Moneer of Tulsa, OK, Julia Jackman of Owasso, OK, Jerry (Brenda) Moneer of Goose Creek, SC, Jennifer (Mike) O’Black and James (Taisha) Moneer both of Lima; a sister, Judy (Mike) Michaels of Lima; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepmother, Ruth Diller, three brothers-an infant and Duane and Dwight Diller.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Salem Mennonite Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Monday, from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from Noon until the time of services.
