Joan Robertson Robertson Fox

Joan Robertson Fox, 87 of Lima passed away peacefully in the presence of her loving family at 12:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, April 11, 2013 at Burton’s Ridge. She was born in South Bend, Indiana on July 5, 1925 to George A. & Mary Evelyn (Shidler) Robertson and they preceded her in death.

On December 28, 1948, she married Leonard Fox who survives in Lima, Ohio, they would of celebrated 65 years of marriage this coming December.

She is also survived by their children Lynn (Tom) McNeff of Houston, Texas, Mike (Pam) Fox of Lima, Marcia (Tom) Conaway of Lima, Bruce (Cindy) Fox of Columbus, Diane (Tom) Wilson of Naperville, IL, Barb (Bob) Patterson of Sylvania, Brian (Cindi) Fox of Columbus, a daughter-in-law Jean Fox of Sarasota, Florida, two brothers, George (Betty) Robertson,III of Carmel, Indiana and John (Pat) Robertson of Warren, Ohio. She was also survived by nineteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son William Fox.

Joan was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, she was a 1943 graduate of Harding High School in Warren, Ohio, she received her Bachelor’s of Science degree from Allegheny College and her nursing degree from St. Luke’s School of Nursing, Cleveland, Ohio in 1948. She was employed as a Registered Nurse working with Lima Visiting Nurses and also working at Shawnee Manor Nursing Home for many years. She was very supportive of St. Charles School, she was active in Girl Scouts and an active member of Cursillo. She was devoted to her husband, her family and enjoyed her grand and great grandchildren very much.

A Memorial Mass will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday, April 18, 2013 at St Charles Catholic Church with Father Steve Blum as celebrant.

Family and friends may call at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m.

In lien of flowers made memorial contribution to St. Rita’s Hospice.
