Josephine P Guagenti

Josephine P. Guagenti, age 78, of Lima, Ohio passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010 at 9:37 p.m. at St. Rita’s Medical Center Emergency Department. She was born on March 20, 1932 in Chicago Heights, Illinois to the late John and Angelina (Zagone) Porto. She married Salvatore “Sam” Guagenti on September 11, 1955 and he passed away on July 17, 1995.

She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. Josephine was a loving mother and grandmother and had been a retail clerk for many years.

Josephine is survived by 2 sons: Louis (Shirley) Guagenti of Arlington Heights, Illinois and John (Sue) Guagenti of Cincinnati, Ohio; grandchildren: Amanda, Sam (Robin), Rena, Joe and Leo; a great grandson: Tony; sisters: Frances Azzarello of Lima and Cecile Melei of Chicago Heights, Illinois; and many loving nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by siblings: Nena Geraci and Leo Porto.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, with Fr. Joseph Sekere to officiate. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 from 3 to 8 p.m at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N. Cable Road.
